Never Enough

As vacations always tend to be, this one was too short.

Jared and I enjoyed our first Thanksgiving just the two of us. Apparently we thought several more people were coming to dinner, because we made a great deal more food than we needed,
but the nice part is that there's plenty of leftovers. It was a really nice, relaxing day. I can't wait for next year. We've finally started some of our own traditions and I'm really enjoying it.

Our Thanksgiving table!
Taken before the turkey was done, but it's all of our side-dishes. Told you we had a lot of food. The rest of the long weekend was about hanging out and seeing friends. I met up with one of my travel partners from my Spain trip. (Crazy to think that trip was almost a year ago!!) And two of Jared's friends from Ohio came to visit.

Overall it was a great vacation and now I just have a few weeks to get through before two full weeks off for Christmas!

Apple Pickin' Goodness

Last weekend we headed a bit west to partake in some fall foliage apple picking. And some nice quality time with Jared's uncle. And the dogs of course... that's Lola above with Jerry.
It was a great weekend! We even rented a car and drove out there, odd since we haven't been in cars much in the past three months, let alone driving one.
The only problem... now we have apples coming out our ears. So far I've made 4 pies and a huge batch of applesauce but I'm putting out the request for any and all recipes involving apples! :)
