Well I'm actually here and I've finally eaten some dinner, so it's time for an update.
The apartment complex is beautiful. There are pictures below and I'm sure you can see just how spacious and bright our apartment is. I have three flatmates, Natalie and Megan are both from Ohio Northern, though I've never really talked to either of them prior to this. Our last flatmate is Ellie. She's from Olympia, Washington so she's much farther from home. It's a good group and I think we'll get along famously this quarter. Megan is working for another non-profit like me (Emily's List), Natalie is working for the Justice Department (Interpol), and Ellie is working in mass media (Roll Call). A nice wide variety of groups, we should have some really interesting dinnertime conversation.
I didn't get my first-choice class, but it still sounds like it will be an interesting one and even better it will count toward one of the few classes I still needed to take at ONU so I'll have one less class to take. The title of the class is American Foreign Policy Post 9/11: The Role of Race, Religion and Geo-politics. I'll have class on Thursday nights from 6:30 - 9:30... not the best but it'll work. The class is located on the Marymount University campus so I'll get to see another university's campus.
My work schedule looks like it will be Tuesday-Friday 9-5. Which really isn't bad at all. A regular job working regular hours. This'll be a first for me. I certainly hope it goes well.
Tonight Lauren and Jason and I hung out at my apartment, ordered Indian food in. Got to talk for a while and chill out and catch up. It was really nice. Tomorrow Jason's going to make us dinner after we tour the city. I'll be sure to put up some pictures from our adventures.
Until tomorrow, good evening from Washington D.C. :)
