Hello all. I'm not sure if anyone even reads this still, but I've been getting a lot of questions as graduation approaches, so I thought I'd give a quick update.
I officially graduate on May 20th at 2pm and couldn't be happier. While I'll miss the friends I've made here at ONU, I've been ready to move on for quite some time. That being said I'll be working here on campus for the summer. It's a job I'm good at, I like the boss, it's good pay, and I get to hang out with my boyfriend all summer. Can't pass up all those opportunities. (BTW: Jared and I have now been dating for over a year... I can't believe he hasn't gotten sick of me yet, lol)
After that my plans are still a bit up in the air. I've applied to be a language assisstant in France for a year but I won't hear about that until at least May 10th. So PLEASE stop asking me if I've heard anything yet... it only makes me more neurotic about it than I already am. When I know, you'll know. Trust me.
If I don't get the job abroad I'll probaby be heading for the east coast to find a job at a non-profit or some related field. Washington DC is the most likely place, but nothing's set in stone. If I do get the job in France I'll be there all next year and then coming back to find a job. Perhaps near where Jared's going to grad school?
So let's recap. Super-excited about graduation at the end of May because I'm dying to get out of Ada. But I'm living and working in Ada for the summer. And then I have no idea what I'm doing and won't for another month. And yes, it occasionally gives me a panic attack/ulcer/nervous breakdown, but I'll be good. I hope.
Hope things are going well for all of you. Hopefully this will all get much more exciting soon.
