Happy Easter. Hope everyone back home had an excellent holiday weekend and that everyone, both in France and America, will enjoy their Monday off.
Today I was incredibly culinary. Lisa and I decided to celebrate the day in style with red beans and rice. Mainly because we forgot to go to the grocery store yesterday and that was the best meal we could concoct using the ingredients in our combined cupboards (in my case the bag on the table since I am still waiting for a replacement cupboard). Then we made... wait for it.. homemade brownies. Those who know me understand my penchant for brownies and realize that I make them often. But always from a box. But this time I made them from scratch, and from a recipe all in French from a magazine no less. Lisa and I rationalized that they were very Easter-y brownies since they used three eggs and the chocolate for the brownies was a chopped up Easter bunny my mom sent to me.
So that was my Paques... any other interesting stories out there?
