My 23rd Birthday Itinerary:
Wake up. Feel horrible. Go to doctor. Be sent to hospital. Have tests done, including spinal tap. Be flat on back for 12 hours. Stay in hospital another night waiting for test results. Finally have them release you telling you they have no idea what's wrong with you.
Flat on my back for 12 hours. So much fun.

Lisa and Danielle came to visit.
The next day Lisa and Christine threw me a little birthday party.
My guardian angels. These two took AMAZING care of me and really made the entire experience a lot better than it otherwise could have been. There's no way I can ever ever thank them for their help. Lisa is on the left. She's a fellow assistant. Christine is a French woman who works at the school with Lisa. My new best friend. :)Now I have to take a week off from work and get all better. On the plus side my French improved leaps and bounds in the 48 hours I was there and it was yet another new experience in France. Hopefully my luck picks up from here. 32 days left.

Typically when I read of your adventures in Europe and look at your amazing pics I think to myself, "Wow, she is so lucky to have gotten this opportunity."
Yeah. Not so much this time.

Perhaps I missed something, but why were you in the hospital for all those tests?
