I Have Arrived

So after 14 hours of airports and an hour bus ride I'm finally in Grenoble. I'm exhuasted, lonely, confused, and almost regretting coming right now, but I know that'll all change once I get into the swing of things. I'll move in with my host family tomorrow. But before I pass out (it's 7:41 here and I'm struggling to keep my eyes open) I wanted to share the view from my hotel balcony. I walked around town a little and it really is beautiful. More tomorrow. Enjoy the view. I sure am. (I took this picture about 1 minute before posting it so you're seeing it just as I am right now).

Greetings from Dayton, Ohio. Your friends are not so far away! Distance, culture, food, language . . . so many new things to absorb. You will do well - don't worry. We all send you good thoughts and love. We are looking forward to more stories as your adventure develops. Steve Murphy
