Quick Notes

The end of page two and page three should all be new. Check it out.

Great quote yesterday: "Describe France in one word. What is it? Huh? Huh? You're wrong... it's ridiculous."

On to real blogging:

“Seinfeld” created the man-ssiere and the puffy shirt. Queer Eye for the Straight Guy introduced the term metrosexual. Ralph Lauren or some other high and mighty designer introduced pink shirts for men. And in France we’ve got the man-purse. Men here pretty much always carry a purse with them, though it’s not like a regular American woman’s purse. It’s a tiny little thing, probably no bigger than a wallet on a really thin and really long string. They’re a fashion statement and a status statement. You can buy YSL and D&G and all sorts of stuff. And it’s not the homosexual men that wear these, it’s the straight ones. It’s deifinitely a “cool” guy thing so do I guess. Although the men over here do tend to be a lot more feminine than the guys back in the States (perhaps this is why American women think they’re so fabulous?) They’re really into the PDA thing and they take a lot of pride in their appearance, from the outfit they’re wearing to perfectly placing every strand of hair on their heads. If any of you guys back home would like a metro-sexual purse just let me know, I’d be more than happy to get one for you. *wink*
