C'est pas vrai!

A teacher at one of my schools was in New York City for April break. We were talking about her vacation while the kids were working on the Earth Day crossword puzzles and one of her comments struck me as funny. She said that none of the fruit she saw in the US looked real. She said it was all too big and too shiny. And I have to say that I agree with her. Produce in France is better tasting, more juicy, but does tend to be smaller. The French make no point in hiding where food comes from, be it meat or produce. It all looks like it would in nature. And without all those pesticides and strange growing techniques, it's all better for you too! If I could eat French produce forever I would.
And I think this really sums things up: Another assistant who, ironically, is from New York City bought lettuce at a market in Paris and was appalled that it had dirt on it and - HORROR - a bug! I wonder where she though

Definately hear you. What´s true of France is true of Paraguay, in taste and looks and everything. Give me reality and taste any day.
