First was An American Blonde. She's another primary English assistant and we've been reading each other's blogs all year and decided it was a good excuse to meet that she wanted to come to Chartres. It was a really great, albeit short, visit. A few moments after she had gotten off the train it was like we'd been friends since 5th grade. We spent the first evening trying out our cooking skills. Those were good, but our baking skills were a bit lacking. Instead of making brownies as we had planned we ended up with a chocolate quiche. Somehow that didn't stop us from eating most of it though.
Saturday we walked around town just generally enjoyed the town in all it's small glory.
After Blonde left on Monday I had a few days to myself and then ONU friend came. She just finished two years at a Peace Corps Volunteer in Senegal.
